Mildura – Waiting for an Assessment?
We understand how long waitlists can be — and how important early and accurate assessment is for accessing the right supports. After the success of our first trip in July 2025 Boutique Psychology is travelling to Mildura January 2026 to provide evidence-based, neuroaffirming assessments for children, adolescents and adults.
Assessments can support:
-
NDIS access or reassessment
-
Disability Support Pension (DSP) or Carer Payment applications
-
School-based adjustments and learning plans
We offer comprehensive assessments that can confirm or update diagnoses, including:
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-
Intellectual Disability
-
Mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, PTSD)
Reports are evidence-based, professionally written, and aligned with NDIS and government criteria.
Our team of psychologists provides a warm, respectful approach, with clear communication and support throughout the process.
Limited availability – bookings are essential.
Fees and Funding
Assessment fees vary depending on your needs. Please contact our office to discuss your individual situation and we’ll provide a tailored quote.
Some privately funded assessments may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. NDIS-funded assessments may also be covered under Capacity Building supports.
Typical Assessment
Our assessments typically involve three appointments to ensure we capture a thorough and accurate picture of the individual’s strengths, needs, and diagnostic profile:
-
Initial Interview (via Zoom):
A comprehensive developmental and psychosocial history is gathered during this session. We explore early development, education, mental health, daily functioning, and any previous assessments or diagnoses.
-
In-Person Assessment (Mildura):
This session includes the administration of standardised psychological assessments tailored to the referral question (e.g., cognitive, adaptive, behavioural, or diagnostic tools). These help us better understand current functioning across relevant domains.
-
Feedback and Report Delivery (via Zoom):
We provide a detailed explanation of the results, diagnoses (if applicable), and how these relate to the NDIS, education, or other supports. We also discuss next steps, including how to use the report for funding or service access.
While this is our typical structure, we understand that every person and situation is unique. Our process can be adapted slightly depending on individual needs, attention span, availability, or urgency.
If you're unsure about what might be needed in your situation, our team is happy to guide you through it.
