Provisional Psychologist - Boutique Psychology South Melbourne


Boutique Psychology is a person-centred practice located in South Melbourne offering high-quality ‘made to measure’ psychological support through therapy and counselling, and providing autism and ADHD assessments.


Dedicated to developing provisional psychologists’ empathy and expertise, we are seeking provisional psychologists to become part of the team in 2023.


These roles involve providing psychological services to people during the period of training and supervision, and our aim is to support successful applicants to meet all requirements for full registration.


The positions are open for applicants who are eligible to register as a Provisional Psychologist with AHPRA. 


Successful applicants will have access to all psychometric testing and individual and group supervision to meet registration requirements, and supervision will be provided by an experienced Registered Psychologist and AHPRA Board Registered Supervisor who is passionate about supporting and developing early career Psychologists.


The positions are available for start in 2023 and can be flexible to meet the needs of the right candidates, and may be part-time or full-time.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Eligibility for Registration as a Provisional Psychologist with AHPRA.

  2. Enthusiasm for developing the clinical skills and theoretical knowledge required to work in a general private practice.  

  3. A willingness to learn and a good communicator

  4. Driven with a high level of initiative, organisation and planning, and ability to self-motivate for the completion of tasks as required for registration. 

  5. Have a passion for working with children, adolescents and adults. 

  6. Be interested in offering a range of psychometric assessments.

  7. Be willing to travel to provide services to more remote areas.

  8. Current Driver’s Licence with no restrictions.

  9. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds. 

  10. Excellent written/report writing skills.

  11. Good computer skills.

  12. Ability to work in a team environment. 



Preference will be given to those with previous experience in mental health related fields, and those who demonstrate a warm and engaging personality.
